Great Centenary Brisbane River Walk 2008

Witness contrasting riparian landscapes and ever-changing river vistas as you take a 12 kilometre walk along Wolston Creek and Brisbane River riverfront bushland reserves in the Centenary suburbs, from Riverhills to Jindalee.

This walk celebrates successful community efforts over nearly two decades to gain increased bushland reserves and public access to riverfront and creeks in the Centenary suburbs.

The commentary will cover history, geology, flora and fauna, bushcare activities and bushland management challenges and successes.

Notes:
.. Bookings are essential.
.. You will need sturdy walking shoes, sun protection and wet weather gear, as well as food, snacks and water.
.. The degree of difficulty is generally easy to moderate. However, participants should be of moderate fitness, given the walk will take up to six hours.
.. Participants will need to arrange a car shuffle or use a bus to get back to their car at the walk’s starting point.
